I can’t get a map. It says it’s loading, but the map never comes up.

Google seems to have recently changed part of their codebase, and in doing so, broken some code I have been relying on. It looks like the quickest thing for me to do will be to finish version 1.0 of the widget. Hopefully, it will be available within the week.

I keep checking for your next release! Any idea when we might see it?
Last summer we were looking for a new house, and your widget was of the UTMOST VALUE. Real estate agents sent lists of houses that more or less fit our criteria, and the first thing I did was check Gmaps to see where they were. We found a good place eventually. Thanks for your help in the process, and congratulations on a neat piece of software.

Hi
the google map widget doesn’t work as per the message above from Ms. Giles. I am having the same issue. unfortunately this seems to be the only map widget out there.
Thanks,

I suppose development for this has been halted. It’s been broken for over 3 months. Dang this looked like an awesome widget
It hasn’t been stopped, just temporarily on hold. I have a lot of projects going on, and google has changed their code base on me a couple times now, once as I was just about to release a new version. – Lokkju

A suggested feature: support to set your default locale as the UK, instead of it always defaulting to the USA.
Oh, you know us americans – we don’t beleive the world exists outside our country! – but no, seriously, great suggestion, and probably best imlemented as just being able to set your default to ANY lat/long position. – Lokkju

Are you still working on fixing it? This would probably be the most useful widget out there – if it worked…
Please let me know if there is any hope.
